Job summary

PCL seeks a Red Carpet DSP Mentor to provide person-centered mentoring and direct support, helping new and existing team members apply lessons from training while ensuring a stable, welcoming environment.

The role covers Jackson & Josephine Counties with varied shifts, including days, swings, overnights, and weekends. Travel may be required; full-time, 40 hours weekly with on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older at start of employment.
• 2 years Direct Support Professional experience required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn agency applications.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Well-organized and detail-oriented.
• Cooperative and willing to learn.
• Ability to interpret various instructions.
• Enhanced math skills for budgeting and basic transactions.
• Professional, clear written and spoken English.
• Regular attendance and adherence to attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Support stabilization of teams and welcome new residents to their homes.
• Deploy to ensure new person has stable, skilled, mission-focused team members.
• Collaborate with peers to train and welcome new team members.
• Implement each person’s support needs as outlined in documents.
• Occasional compensated travel to Northern Oregon Region (3-6 times/year).
• Participate in on-call rotation for assigned area (7 consecutive days per rotation).
• Distribute medications, assist with cooking, housekeeping, and personal care as required.
• Promote PCL’s mission and provide a stable living environment respecting dignity and health needs.
