Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill is seeking an energetic Recycling & Warehouse Associate to support our mission, “Changing Lives Through the Power of Work.” You will process donations, unload shipments, and prepare goods for shipment while maintaining inventory integrity.

Ideal candidates may not need a degree but should communicate well, stay organized, and perform basic math. A positive attitude and teamwork are essential to thrive in a diverse work environment.

Qualifications

• No degree required; HS diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and able to interact with a diverse work population.
• Math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Handle all donations with care and respect.
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to designated areas.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage; report variances.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment; ensure correct quantity and type.
• Perform picking duties to meet customer service standards.
• Move product from staging to trailers efficiently.
• Sort donated and purchased goods into categories per guidelines.
• Use machinery safely to tip or compact items for sale or recycling.
