Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill is seeking a Recycling & Warehouse Associate to support our Recycling & Warehouse - Market team. The role involves handling donations, unloading shipments, preparing products for shipment, and maintaining inventory control while upholding our values of respect and responsibility.

The position is full-time, hourly, with no travel required. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and there are opportunities for career growth along with a competitive benefits package,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and able to interact with a diverse workforce.
• Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Handle all donations with care and respect.
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to designated areas.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and product type are loaded and shipped.
• Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
• Efficiently move product from staging and storage areas into trailers.
• Sort donated goods and purchased goods into categories: sales floor, seasonal, online sales, salvage, and trash, according to established guidelines.
• Use machinery safely and appropriately to tip or compact designated products for sale or recycling.
• Maintain high quality and high quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
• Establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required.
• Keep appropriate records and reports to maintain tight inventory control and security.
• Safeguard company property and personal information from harm, damage, or theft. Report any incidents of theft, misappropriation, unethical/inappropriate behavior, or unauthorized possession of company property to a member of management, Human Resources, Risk Management, or employee hotline.
• Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
