Job summary

CNG, a company that owners, invites motivated candidates to join our manufacturing teams in Superior, Wisconsin. As a machine operator or technician, you will help feed the extrusion process, monitor pellets, and ensure quality while working a 15-day-per-month schedule on 12-hour nights (7:00pm–7:00am).

You'll maintain a clean, safe workspace, enter serial numbers, adhere to AIB and BRC standards, and participate in ongoing training to grow your career within our expanding network of facilities.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts and lift up to 65 pounds.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with measuring tools.
  • Strong communication skills and positive attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environment.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Improvement mindset and problem solving/criticalthinkingabilities.
  • Ability to perform simple math.

Responsibilities

  • Feed the machine with an adequate amount of scrap at all times.
  • Check quality of the pellets being made.
  • Monitor heat profiles on the Erema and pellet size, adjust as needed.
  • Notify supervisors of factors impacting product quality.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area free of scrap, water, resin, shavings.
  • Enter serial numbers of all gaylords or rolls fed into the machine.
  • Manage daily housekeeping, maintenance, and safety paperwork.
  • Comply with all AIB and BRC Standards.

Schedule: Work only 15 days per month with our unique 2-2-3 schedule

  • Work: Monday & Tuesday - Off: Wednesday & Thursday - Work: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday
  • Off: Monday & Tuesday - Work: Wednesday & Thursday - Off: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday
  • 12-hour static shifts (Nights - 7:00pm - 7:00am)
What You'll Do
  • To feed the machine an adequate amount of scrap at all times.
  • To check quality of the pellets being made.
  • Monitoring the heat profiles on the Erema as well as the proper size of the pellet cut and adjusting when needed. Also needs to recognize when there is too much water inside the pellets, etc.
  • To notify supervisors of any factors that may impact the quality of the product they are running
  • To maintain a clean, safe work area. Free of loose scrap, water, resin, plastic shavings, etc.
  • Basic computer skills to enter in the serial numbers of all gaylords or rolls that are being fed into the machine.
  • Responsible for daily activities such as housekeeping, maintaining, and organizing a safe work environment, and any other paperwork.
  • Comply with all AIB and BRC Standards
