Verde is hiring a Recycle Technician to support daily recycling and waste reduction programs, including sorting, staging, processing, and transporting recyclable materials. You will work with the ESG Supervisor to maximize material recovery and maintain safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience in facilities, janitorial, warehouse, recycling, or waste management operations.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull 50+ pounds.
• Experience operating material handling equipment and recycling tools is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• MUST be able to pass MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)

Responsibilities

• Sort, collect, and stage recyclable materials at designated collection points.
• Operate recycling equipment, including balers, compactors, pallet jacks, and dollies.
• Support material movement and documentation through Outbound Asset Material (OAM) processes.
• Assist with transporting and preparing materials for shipment or disposal.
• Monitor streams for contamination and promote proper waste sorting practices.
• Educate staff on recycling procedures at points of generation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of waste enclosures and loading docks.
• Partner with the ESG Supervisor to support site-wide waste diversion goals.
• Participate in training programs and reinforce environmentally responsible practices.
• Help identify opportunities to improve recycling effectiveness and operational efficiency.
• Follow safety procedures, PPE use, lifting techniques, and report maintenance needs.
