Job summary

SBM in Oregon is seeking a Recycle Technician to recycle, salvage, and sort materials, maintain logs, and support safety programs. The role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to procedures. Lifting to 35 pounds and a Tuesday–Saturday evening shift are involved.

The position offers an hourly wage of $17.35–$18.35 and a focus on environment, safety, and customer satisfaction. CPR/First Aid certification and forklift experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–2 years recycling experience preferred.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification a plus; valid driver’s license may be required.
• Forklift certification may be required; Hazardous Waste Handling Training may be required.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures and manuals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and safe use of cleaning compounds and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Recycle, salvage, and sort reusable or recycle materials or waste materials.
• Inspect and sort materials.
• Maintain logs and schedules.
• Work with multiple collection containers.
• Follow safety rules and company procedures.
