Job summary

Carris Reels Group in McKinney, TX is seeking an Assembler (Recycling) to inspect, repair, refurbish, and recycle wooden reels in line with customer specs. You will determine repairability, perform repairs with hand and power tools, and document work completed.

This role supports production efficiency, requires safety awareness, and involves painting and stenciling per customer demands, with a 1st shift, full-time schedule, and a focus on quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial inspection of returned reels to assess condition.
• Disassemble reels that are not repairable and sort materials for proper disposal or recycling.
• Refurbish reusable reels to meet quality standards.
• Repair damaged reel components as needed.
• Replace or adjust parts to restore reel functionality.
• Use hand and power tools such as grinders, sanders, impact guns, and saws.
• Apply paint and stenciling to reels in accordance with customer specifications, ensuring proper coverage of both sides.
• Inspect repaired reels for quality before completion.
• Complete assembler production reports accurately and on time, documenting reel size, customer information, quantities processed, and whether reels were refurbished or scrapped.
