Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental is seeking an onsite Processing Machine Operator for our West Orange operation. The role reports to Shift Supervisor and pays $16.25/hr with a Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm schedule.

The ideal candidate will operate balers, shredders, grinders and extruding equipment, while maintaining safety protocols in a large 100,000 sq ft facility and supporting sustainability efforts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong problem solving and process improvement skills.
• Ability to articulate problems and solutions.
• Self-motivated with a strong safety commitment.
• Able to lift 50 pounds repetitively.
• Able to work overtime.
• Safety sensitive role.
• Reliable transportation.
• Eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Identify and label different types of material properly.
• Use basic and power hand tools to remove unwanted metal and plastic from recycled plastics.
• Sort plastics for grinding and extrusion processes.
• Adjust temperatures, screw speed and ram settings on compounder machines when material is not melting properly.
• Regularly clean the work area and tools.
• Work efficiently and productively.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Stack material safely and efficiently.
• Understand OSHA regulations and Triumvirate’s Health and Safety Practices.
• Respect and build good relationships with coworkers.
• Complete on-the-job training.
• Stand 8+ hours per day.
• Operate a forklift.
• Other duties as assigned.
