Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental seeks an onsite Processing Machine Operator for our North Carolina recycling operation. The role reports to the Shift Supervisor and pays $16.25 per hour, with a Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm schedule.

The candidate will operate balers, shredders and grinders, and work closely with extruding equipment. Safety awareness and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced facility environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and initiative.
• Commitment to safety policies and continuous improvement.
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds repeatedly and working overtime.

Responsibilities

• Identify and label different types of material properly.
• Use basic and power hand tools to remove unwanted metal and plastic from recycled plastics.
• Sort plastics by type for grinding and extrusion processes.
• Adjust temperatures, screw speed and ram settings on compounder machines as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and operate efficiently.
