Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating forklifts or material handling equipment preferred.
• Basic math, mechanical aptitude, and reading comprehension advantageous.
• Certification for pallet jack or forklift preferred or obtainable on hire.
• Familiarity with TPM concepts (5S, root-cause analysis) welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and sort recyclable materials and pallets.
• Operate forklifts, conveyors, and yard equipment for handling and storage.
• Inspect materials for quality and contaminants; isolate non-conforming items.
• Operate balers/compactors and assist with maintenance tasks.
• Maintain inventory records and process documentation.
• Follow safety policies and environmental regulations.
• Assist customers with drop-offs/pick-ups and provide service information.
• Collaborate with warehouse team to meet daily goals.
