Job summary

Securis in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Recycling Manager to lead daily Recycling Department operations, set priorities, and drive safety and efficiency.

You will coach technicians, enforce quality standards, and partner with other teams to improve throughput while maintaining a clean, compliant warehouse.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of the Recycling Department, ensuring priorities are set and tasks completed on schedule.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Recycling Manager who enjoys leading from the floor, developing people, and making operations run better every day.

This is not a desk-only management position. You will be actively involved in the day-to-day operation of our Recycling Department; setting priorities, directing the team, solving problems, maintaining a safe and organized warehouse, and identifying ways to improve productivity and efficiency.

The right person will be a hands-on leader who can hold a team accountable while creating an environment where employees know what is expected, receive the support they need, and take pride in getting the job done well.

What You’ll Own

• Lead the daily operations of the Recycling Department, ensuring work is prioritized, assigned, and completed efficiently and on schedule.
• Supervise, coach, and develop Recycling Technicians and other warehouse team members.
• Set clear daily expectations and hold the team accountable for productivity, quality, attendance, safety, and performance.
• Monitor workflow and identify opportunities to improve throughput, organization, efficiency, and overall warehouse performance.
• Support and enforce Securis safety programs, OSHA requirements, and safe material‑handling practices.
• Ensure employees consistently follow quality‑control requirements, standard work procedures, and company policies.
• Coordinate the construction and preparation of scrap lots for sale to downstream customers.
• Partner with other Securis departments and operational leaders to solve problems and share best practices.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional warehouse environment.
• Operate or oversee the safe use of forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Assist with physically demanding warehouse activities as needed, including lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Look for opportunities to make the operation safer, faster, more organized, and more effective.

What We’re Looking For

Required

• 3+ years of warehouse, recycling, manufacturing, logistics, or similar hands‑on operational experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead employees and keep a team focused on daily goals and priorities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to give clear direction, provide feedback, and work effectively across departments.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast‑moving warehouse environment.
• Comfortable using basic business technology, including spreadsheets, email, and warehouse or operational systems.
• Ability to work on‑site Monday–Friday from 7:00 AM–3:30 PM and occasional Saturdays.
• Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• High school diploma or GED.

Preferred

• 2+ years of forklift operation experience.
• Previous supervisory or warehouse leadership experience.
• Experience in electronics recycling, ITAD, scrap processing, manufacturing, distribution, or a related industry.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar business systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Lead from the front and are willing to work alongside your team when needed.
• Enjoy bringing structure and accountability to a busy warehouse operation.
• Notice inefficiencies and naturally look for ways to improve them.
• Can balance productivity with safety, quality, and employee development.
• Stay calm and solution‑focused when priorities change or problems arise.
• Set high standards while treating people with respect.
