Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. in Gary, IN is seeking a Loader/Operator to safely load material onto lines and trailers and operate front end loaders according to the O&M manual. Daily inspections and strict safety compliance are essential.

Responsibilities include checking material quality, moving materials to storage, maintaining neat stacks, and supporting teammates while adhering to company policies. Night and weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Keep material stacked neatly and safely; maintain housekeeping
• Check oil and fluids daily
• Perform equipment inspections daily
• Follow company safety regulations
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Job Summary:

Hiring Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent (additional experience may be substituted for education)
• Minimum of six (6) months experience operating machinery
• Must have a demonstrated ability to follow directions
• Professional Attitude & conduct
• Multi-task, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and time management skills are needed.
• High degree of safety awareness and safety discipline
• Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Strictly adhere to safety requirements and the policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Be at least age 18 years of age due to nature of working environment.
