Job summary

Pratt Industries in Austell, GA is seeking a dependable loader operator to safely load material onto lines and trailers, and to operate front end loaders. Daily inspections and adherence to the O&M manual are required to ensure safe and efficient operations.

You will maintain quality control, keep work areas neat, and cooperate with team members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A drug screen and background check are required, with potential night/weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Six months experience operating machinery or similar equipment.
• Ability to follow directions and safety rules.
• Team-oriented with good communication and reliability.
• Flexible availability for nights and weekends as needed.
• Must be at least 18 years old and capable of passing background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment in accordance with O&M manual.
• Check incoming/outgoing material for quality and conformity.
• Transport material to designated storage areas safely.
• Load material onto lines and trailers safely.
• Keep material stacks neat and organized.
• Maintain general housekeeping and cleanliness.
• Monitor oil and fluids; perform daily equipment inspections.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Hiring Requirements

• High school education or equivalent (additional experience may be substituted for education)
• Minimum of six (6) months experience operating machinery
• Must have a demonstrated ability to follow directions
• Professional Attitude & conduct
• Multi-task, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and time management skills are needed.
• High degree of safety awareness and safety discipline
• Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Strictly adhere to safety requirements and the policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Be at least age 18 years of age due to nature of working environment.
• Random and Suspicion Drug tests are performed
