Job summary

The position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking and proven ability to manage budgets, safety programs, contracts and permits while fostering a best-in-class work culture and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years supervisory or management experience or participation in management trainee program.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for recycling and post-collections operations; oversee staff including hiring, training and performance management.
• Implement and execute plans that support the business unit’s strategic and operating plans and drive profitability.
• Drive plans to meet budget and service objectives; monitor regulations and market conditions to develop new recycling opportunities.
• Oversee safety programs and ensure compliance with standards across environmental, regulatory, and ethical requirements.
• Approve expenses and manage the operations budget including POs and vendor pricing.
• Build a strong team culture and maintain relations with government, community and environmental groups.
