City of Colonial Heights is seeking a Part-time Recycling Center Attendant to inspect materials dropped by residents and maintain a clean, safe center environment. The role involves interacting with the public and ensuring proper recycling item collection.

Work schedule is Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays from 8 AM to 5 PM. The position includes standard part-time benefits and an hourly wage of $12.77–$14.50.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• One-year of work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Successfully pass a background investigation and medical screening.

Education & Experience

Physical Demands & Work Environment

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over rough or difficult surfaces; recurring stooping, climbing or walking; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items weighing less than 25 pounds and may require occasional lifting of objects weighing in excess of 25 pounds. The work may require specific, but common physical characteristics and abilities such as mobility and dexterity.

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions. The employee may be required to use protective clothing or equipment such as masks, coats, boots, goggles, gloves, or shield.

Hourly Rate

$12.77 - $14.50 hourly rate.
