Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations operates a recycling production line, including shredding, grinding, extrusion and pelletizing equipment, to manufacture recycled polyethylene. The operator ensures process forms, settings, safety, scrap feeding, and 5S are maintained for consistent product quality.

Responsibilities include process troubleshooting, production output, and occasional training of coworkers while adhering to safety and quality standards and supporting maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• User knowledge of basic computer functions.
• Problem solving and ability to troubleshoot process-related issues in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain administrative forms for the recycle process accurately and timely.
• Keep machine settings within Standard Operating Condition parameters.
• Run the recycle line within safety and operating characteristics.
• Maintain correct scrap material feeding on the in-feed belt for proper coloration and properties.
• Demonstrate good teamwork and assist/train co-workers as directed by supervisor.
• Perform preventative/predictive maintenance and document activities.
