Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a team-oriented Recycling Associate to support our recycling, reuse, and reclamation program in New Stanton, PA. You will follow safety rules, maintain logs and work areas, and collaborate with leads, supervisors, and customers.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of recycling experience, and strong reading/writing and communication skills. Certifications such as CPR/First Aid, forklift, and hazardous waste handling are a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of recycling experience in a company environment or equivalent.
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification a plus.
  • Valid driver's license may be required.
  • Forklift certification may be required.
  • Hazardous Waste Handling Training per RCRA may be required.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and willingness to share with team.
  • Knowledge of the upkeep and care of cleaning equipment.

  • Maintain logs and schedules.
  • Support shift lead in completing punch-list items.
  • Use proper personal protective equipment.
  • Present a professional appearance and conduct.
  • Understand customer service and satisfaction.
  • Collect, salvage, and sort reusable or recycle materials or waste materials.
  • Inspect and sort materials.
  • Maintain dock and collection areas.
