Job summary

Petoskey Plastics in Indiana is seeking a Recycle Quality Technician to inspect and grade scrap bales, run resin checks, and ensure material quality aligns with our standards.

You will document results, review process controls, and collaborate with production and procurement to address quality issues, while supporting the Quality Management System.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to read technical specs, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical training is a plus.
  • Experience in quality control in recycling or manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong reading and interpretation of technical documents.
  • Excellent attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect scrap bales to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Perform resin checks and spot-check process controls.
  • Evaluate purchased materials against supplier specs.
  • Document results and maintain QC records.
  • Collaborate with production and procurement to fix issues.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with QMS.
