Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Muskogee, OK is hiring a Recycle Fiber Technician for our Tissue, Towel, and Napkin mill. The role involves handling wastepaper, ensuring quality, and starting the pulp process, with pay starting at $19.57 per hour.

The position follows a 12-hour rotating shift schedule and requires meeting safety and production standards. Located on the Arkansas River, the Muskogee facility employs hundreds and runs 12-hour shifts 7 days a week.

Qualifications

• 12-hour rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Experience in hot, dusty, and noisy industrial environments.
• HS Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile equipment in a wastepaper warehouse/ops environment.
• Transport wastepaper or pulp to production lines and warehouse location.
• Maintain customer focus with in-house departments.
• Follow safety procedures and policies.
• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to maintain production.
• Work a 12-hour rotating shift, including weekends and overtime as needed.
• Work in a hot, cold, dusty, and noisy industrial environment.
• Perform lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for up to 12 hours.
• Work in high and/or confined spaces.
