Sorting recyclables.SUMMARYSorter is responsible for overseeing and performing various tasks/job duties related to the operations support and coordination throughout the recycling center, including but not limited to, inventory control, quality control, and safety compliance.RESPONSIBILITIESSort and segregate recoverable materials (e.g.. aluminum, plastic, glass, paper, etc.) from incoming waste, or remove non-recyclable materials.Deposit recoverable material safely and efficiently into appropriate chute.Assist other sorters on an as-needed basis with heavy or bulky items.Communicate with equipment operators regarding incoming loads of special waste or other loads that require special attention.Increase production of the sort line by minimizing down time and providing training to sorters on the line.Ensure compliance with all safety rules regarding the sort line; including stopping the conveyor belt in emergency situations.Inspect and remove jams on the sort line.Maintain cleanliness of facility during shift and perform end of shift cleaningAssist Maintenance Technicians during system repairs, as assigned.PAY RATE$13.26 HRSCHEDULE1st ShiftMonday-Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PMSaturday (sometimes) 4:30 AM - 12:00 PMREQUIREDSteel Toe BootsPass Drug ScreenLegal to work in USAReliable Transportation (Facility is on bus route, but you will have to walk distance)Decent BackgroundTO APPLY:To get to work faster, come in to our TMD office in person.
