Job summary

Augment is seeking dedicated Sorters to join our team at a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) in Albuquerque. You will identify and separate materials on a fast-paced conveyor line, contributing to efficient waste recovery and high-quality outputs.

No prior experience is required as on-the-job training is provided. You should be comfortable in a loud, dusty environment, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Experience in waste management, manufacturing, or warehouse work is a plus.
• Able to stand long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manually sort recyclable materials (paper, plastics, metals, glass) from a conveyor belt.
• Remove non-recyclable and hazardous materials to keep the stream clean.
• Identify and separate contaminants to maintain output quality.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear PPE (gloves, safety glasses, high-visibility vest).
• Monitor the conveyor belt to prevent blockages and ensure smooth operation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area following housekeeping practices.
• Assist with minor maintenance and cleaning of sorting equipment as needed.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
