Saint Michael Parish is seeking a part-time Rectory Housemaid to provide essential cleaning, laundry, and hospitality services in the rectory. The role supports a clean, welcoming living space for parish priests, visiting clergy, and guests, with duties spanning routine cleaning, laundry, dining room prep, guest room turnover, and kitchen maintenance.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and respectful of the sacred parish environment.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, cleaning, or domestic service experience preferred.
• Ability to follow a cleaning schedule and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliability, punctuality, and strong attention to detail.
• Respect for the privacy and dignity of the Rectory as a clerical residence.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding parish household matters.

Responsibilities

• Routine Cleaning: Dusting, wiping surfaces, cleaning bathrooms and floors.
• Laundry Services: Launder, dry, fold, and manage parish linens and clothing.
• Dining Room Preparation: Set up dining area and coordinate volunteers for parish staff meals.
• Guest Room Preparation & Turnover: Prepare rooms for visiting clergy, turnover after visits.
• Kitchen & Refrigerator Maintenance: Keep kitchen and fridge clean and organized on a weekly basis.
