Operations Assistant
Manages a centralized recruitment process, including requisition and position posting management and oversight, in partnership with Business Affairs Human Resources. Completes phone screenings, schedules in-person candidate interviews, and coordinates amongst Building Services hiring managers to interview and evaluate candidates. Conducts reference checks and works with Business Affairs Human Resources and Facilities Services Administrative Support to prepare and process hiring paperwork for successful candidates. Assists with candidate communication and follow-up throughout the recruitment lifecycle. Provides service excellence, ensuring the recruitment process is managed in a professional and timely manner.
Assists the Manager of Operations and the Operations Specialist in developing, coordinating, and facilitating professional development and training sessions. Specifically, oversees new hire training checkpoint measures during an employee's probationary period, ensuring successful completion through coordination with departmental supervisors. Provides general oversight for new employee onboarding over the 6 month probationary period, coordinating closely with supervisors, superintendents, and assistant directors to track successful completion of key milestones and skill development.
Facilitates administrative processes for Building Services, including recruitment and training documentation. Keeps current in human resources/recruitment best practices by attending workshops/seminars, reading professional literature, and traveling to conferences.
Other duties as directed, assigned, or required.
Valid Florida driver's license is required.

The typical work schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 4:00PM (40 hours per week).
The incumbent is expected to be periodically availably during off hours to support recruitment and training efforts for various day and night shift employees and supervisors. This position is considered essential.
$47,840.00 to $52,000.00 Annually based on experience.
A high school diploma or equivalent and five years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Familiarity with building trades, construction methods and materials, HVAC systems, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
