Education & Experience
Must possess a high‑school diploma (or its equivalent) and four years of recruitment, admissions, outreach, and/or closely related experience.
Two years of major coursework or an associate’s degree or higher in a related field, from an accredited institution may substitute up to two years of the required experience.
Language
Bilingual in Spanish may be required based on school location and useful for working with diverse socio‑economic and ethnic backgrounds.
Driver's License
Use of a personal or company vehicle for CET business may be necessary for attending meetings, recruiting, transporting students, and running errands. The Human Resources Department may request copies of a valid driver’s license and proof of personal automobile insurance upon being hired and annually thereafter.
Requirements
- Knowledge of computer equipment operations and software programs including word processing, database management, and spreadsheets.
- Knowledge of recruiting, marketing, and public relations principles; basic research techniques.
- Ability to effectively market and represent students and the program.
- Possess effective customer‑relations skills; exhibit sensitivity to a multicultural student population.
- Ability to interface professionally with all levels of the organization and with external groups: students and families, schools, community agencies, and other government or social service agencies.
- Knowledge of community resources and services.
- Ability to serve as an advocate for student needs.
- Ability to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with others.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to process documents accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage frequent interruptions while meeting stringent schedules and timelines.

- Excellent communication skills, including meeting with individuals and groups, and communicating in person and over the telephone.

Duties
- Under the supervision of the Center Director or assigned supervisor, demonstrate an energetic, outgoing, passionate, and confident attitude aligned with CET’s vision and values.
- Responsible for student admissions and recruitment, supporting services, and delivering superior customer service.
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies, including current and new creative ideas, to deliver all facets of the recruitment process.
- Promote the CET mission and initiatives to support organization goals.
- Collaborate with the Center Director to identify recruiting needs and formulate effective recruitment plans.
- Collaborate with the Center Director and Corporate Office to prepare and maintain updated recruitment/marketing publications (letters, brochures, website postings, electronic mail, and other marketing media).
- Build and nurture relationships with local schools, community‑based organizations, churches, social service agencies, and government bodies for student recruitment referrals.
- Communicate with prospective students, parents, teachers, and community through on‑site/off‑site group presentations, individual appointments, telephone, email, or other methods.
- Coordinate recruitment activities and special events, including conducting school tours, presentations, guest speakers/alumni engagements, student follow‑up, and testing.
- Provide general information on eligibility and entry requirements.
- Use and maintain Microsoft Office programs to analyze, process, record, retrieve, and verify statistical data.
- Collaborate with the Center Director and instructors to monitor classroom capacity relative to enrollment goals.
- Work with the Center Director and Corporate MIS Department to track student applications and related documents while complying with all federal and state laws protecting confidential records.
- Access and manage confidential student records, including progress reports, within legal safeguards.
- Support and participate in special programs as needed.
- Be available to work weekends as required.
- Attend staff development trainings, which may require overnight travel.
- Conduct regular inspections of work areas and equipment; report hazardous or unsafe conditions and participate in emergency disaster drills.
- Act as campus security authority during safety, security, emergency, or disaster situations when called upon.
- Perform other program‑related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
The position requires standing, sitting, talking, walking, reaching, twisting, bending, and fine coordination using a computer keyboard and other related office/classroom equipment. It also requires near and far vision, handling records/files and documents weighing up to 15 pounds. Travel for periodic recruitment activities may be required.
