Job summary

Texas McCombs is seeking a Recruiting Operations Manager to coordinate on-campus recruiting efforts for full-time and internship roles. You will manage interview schedules, postings, and employer events with the Career Services Management system (12Twenty) and data tools, ensuring accurate opportunities and excellent service.

Collaborate with program partners and staff to optimize the interview process, manage center operations, and support recruiters and students through peak periods and events.

Purpose

Manage a portfolio of companies and industries to coordinate the on-campus recruiting efforts of employers seeking to hire business students for full-time and internship employment. This includes coordination of interview schedules, job postings, and employer events such as information sessions, office hours, and networking events.

Responsibilities
  • FACILITATE RECRUITING PROCESS: Coordinate with employers from specific industry sectors to facilitate a first-class recruiting experience for both employers and students at the McCombs School of Business. Manage and coordinate recruiting schedules, employer events, and job postings using Career Services Management software (12twenty) and data management tools to manage business processes. Vet recruiting opportunities thoroughly to ensure accuracy, legitimacy, and success. Provide excellent customer service to constituents to maintain positive relationships with corporate recruiting partners.
  • ASSIST EMPLOYERS WITH RECRUITING TACTICS: Advise employers in the timing and types of events and interviews to help them be competitive and successful. Manage schedule conflicts and avoid employer competition and conflicts. Provide feedback to employers which will increase their success regarding deadlines, schedule set-up, job descriptions, event advertisement, etc. Liaise between employers, Career Management & Corporate Relations staff, and students to contribute to successful recruiting outcomes. Participate in calls and meetings with employers as needed to ensure optimal outcomes for students and recruiters.
  • COLLABORATE FOR OPTIMAL OUTCOMES: Collaborate with Texas McCombs program partners to optimize the interview process and ensure employer satisfaction. Work closely with fellow staff to manage internal processes and communication. Maintain accuracy of recruiting databases and report on recruitment activity and statistical data as appropriate. Participate in and support Career Management & Corporate Relations activities and events.
  • INTERVIEW CENTER OPERATIONS: Assist with the operations of the on-campus interview center, including opening and/or closing responsibilities and front desk coverage as needed.
  • Special Projects and Other DutiesAssist team leaders with other duties and special projects as assigned. Other related functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in account management, customer service, career services, event planning, recruiting, employment services, or related experience.
  • Microsoft Office competencies and comfort with new technology.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork/collaboration skills. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to effectively manage a high volume of work.
  • Strong customer service background.
  • Comfortable in a professional business environment.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or management.
  • Professional experience in a career services or human resources role performing a variety of corporate recruiting or career placement activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective rapport with business students, alumni, faculty, staff, and recruiters.
  • Familiarity with 12Twenty or other web-based recruiting management systems is strongly preferred
Salary Range
  • $50,000
Working Conditions
  • May work under standard office conditions with repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
  • This is an Austin, Texas-based position.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States. This position is not eligible for sponsorship of work visas.
  • Some evening and weekend hours may be required during peak periods and special events.
  • Regular M-F work shift may vary depending on time of year.

Employment Eligibility

Regular staff who have been employed in their current position for the last six continuous months are eligible for openings being recruited for through University-Wide or Open Recruiting, to include both promotional opportunities and lateral transfers. Staff who are promotion/transfer eligible may apply for positions without supervisor approval.

Retirement Plan Eligibility

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
