Job summary

CHS Inc is offering four spring Recruiter Intern positions on the Field Talent Acquisition Team for January 2027 through May 2027. Interns will be trained in sourcing, screening, and recruiting best practices, partnering with recruiters, HR business partners, onboarding specialists, and hiring managers to meet high-volume spring hiring needs for CHS across the country.

These internships are 100% remote with candidates ideally in MN, ND, SD, MT, IA, NE, KS or IL.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with a preferred emphasis in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or Agriculture.
  • Previous internship experience in an HR or recruiting role preferred.
  • Agricultural background preferred.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Efficient multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
  • Pre-employment screenings may be required per job requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with efficiency in a high-energy, fast paced team environment.
  • Identify and source talent for around 300 seasonal openings for the spring planting season.
  • Support the CHS employment brand, diversity initiatives, and other programs.
  • Support recruitment process and life cycle: postings, resume review, interviews, and analysis.
  • Utilize the applicant tracking system and recruiting software to track applicants from selection to interview.
  • Learn about employee benefits, compensation, incentive programs, and CHS culture to share with candidates.
  • Provide sourcing support for other Talent Acquisition colleagues as needed.
  • Provide a positive candidate experience with timely and professional communication at all levels.
  • Provide a positive hiring manager experience with regular updates to hiring managers.
  • Utilize social media, job boards, internet sourcing, and other means to source candidates.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Summary

CHS Inc is looking to hire four spring Recruiter Interns to be part of our high-performing Field Talent Acquisition Team from January 2027-May 2027. You will be trained on our systems and best practices for sourcing top talent and screening candidates. Our recruiter interns operate as a highly engaged team to recruit top talent for CHS. These internships will provide hands-on recruiting experience, including strategic sourcing techniques, reviewing and screening candidates, developing effective communications skills, project management, and collaborating with key stakeholders for success. These internship roles will partner closely with our recruiters, HR business partners, onboarding specialists, and hiring managers to ensure we successfully achieve the high-volume spring hiring needs for CHS across the country for our Ag Retail locations.

These internships are 100% remote. Ideal candidates will live or attend school in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas or Illinois.
Responsibilities

  • Utilize our applicant tracking system and other recruiting software to track applicants from the selection phase to interviews with the hiring managers

  • Learn about employee benefits, compensation, incentive programs, and CHS culture to share with candidates

  • Provide sourcing support for other Talent Acquisition colleagues as needed

  • Focus on providing a positive candidate experience by ensuring appropriate follow up and professional communication with candidates at all levels in the process

  • Provide a positive hiring manager experience and ensure regular updates are provided to hiring managers

  • Utilize social media, job boards, internet sourcing, and other technical and creative means to source candidates for open jobs

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications (required)
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with a preferred emphasis in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or Agriculture.

  • Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMSCA Clearinghouse
Physical Requirements
  • Full-time 32+ hours per week with core business hours availability. (Core business hours are typically between 8 am and 5 pm Central Time, may have some flexibility)

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
