Job description

More than one million people in the United States today are fighting blood cancer. While a traditional allogeneic stem cell transplant has been the best hope for many, the transplant itself can prove fatal or lead to serious conditions, such as graft vs. host disease. Orca Bio is a late-stage biotechnology company redefining the transplant process by developing next-generation cell therapies with the goal of providing significantly better survival rates with dramatically fewer risks.With our purified, high-precision investigational cell therapies we hope to not only replace patients' blood and immune systems with healthy ones, but also restore their lives.

We have built a state-of-the-art, 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Sacramento, CA (7910 Metro Air Pkwy) to ensure the consistent and reliable delivery of our high-precision cell therapy products. This site is essential to advancing our clinical pipeline and supporting future commercial availability of our life-saving therapies.

Summary of Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Recruiting Coordinator (6+ month contract) to support our fast-paced hiring efforts. In this role, you will coordinate interviews, ensure a seamless candidate experience, and support recruiting operations as we continue to grow. The ideal candidate has strong communication and calendar management skills, experience working across multiple teams, and enjoys optimizing workflows to improve process efficiency.


Responsibilities
  • Coordinate interviews across multiple time zones, including scheduling, logistics, and communications with candidates and internal teams
  • Serve as the main point of contact for candidates, providing timely updates and a high-touch candidate experience
  • Maintain and update candidate records in Lever, including interview feedback, dispositioning, and compliance tracking
  • Support recruiters with job postings, offer letter preparation, background checks, and new hire processing
  • Partner with the Talent team to generate recruiting reports and improve operational workflows
  • Ensure recruiting practices are aligned with internal SOPs and compliance requirements
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience required in recruiting coordination, HR support, or administrative support roles, preferably within recruiting coordination in a professional environment
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and follow-through
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interacting with candidates and internal stakeholders
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems (preferably Lever) and managing complex calendars
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Biotech or high-growth, high-volume recruiting environment experience is a plus
