Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking a Staffing Specialist / Recruiter at entry level in Ashland, OH. You will recruit, screen, interview, and onboard candidates, deliver exceptional client and employee service, source talent via job boards and referrals, and help grow our staffing solutions.

You will build strong client relationships, support sales efforts, and assist with onboarding, coaching, and retention initiatives while thriving in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of sales or customer service experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in recruiting, staffing, HR, or business development preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and temporary employees.
• Recruit, screen, interview, and onboard qualified candidates.
• Source candidates through job boards, resume databases, referrals, and recruiting platforms.
• Match candidate skills and experience with client staffing needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and temporary associates.
• Conduct follow-up calls to ensure employee satisfaction and successful placements.
• Generate and develop new business opportunities through sales and networking efforts.
• Perform client service calls and outside sales visits to maintain and grow business partnerships.
• Promote Surge Staffing services and identify additional staffing solutions for customers.
• Support branch operations through administrative and data entry tasks.
• Assist with employee coaching, performance management, and retention efforts.
• Resolve employee and client concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Support branch growth initiatives and contribute to overall revenue goals.
