Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking a motivated Staffing Specialist to join our fast-paced team in Mason, OH. This entry-level role focuses on sales, customer service, recruiting, and building strong client relationships to place top talent.

You will screen candidates, conduct interviews, source through job boards, and support branch growth with administrative tasks. Excellent communication, reliability, and a willingness to travel locally are key to success.

Qualifications

• 1 year of sales and/or customer service experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in recruiting, staffing, HR, customer service, or business development preferred
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and temporary employees
• Recruit, screen, interview, and onboard qualified candidates
• Source candidates through job boards, resume databases, referrals, and recruiting platforms
• Match candidate skills and experience with client staffing needs
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and temporary associates
• Conduct follow-up calls to ensure employee satisfaction and successful placements
• Generate and develop new business opportunities through sales and networking efforts
• Perform client service calls and outside sales visits to maintain and grow business partnerships
• Promote Surge Staffing services and identify additional staffing solutions for customers
• Support branch operations through administrative and data entry tasks
• Assist with employee coaching, performance management, and retention efforts
• Resolve employee and client concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Support branch growth initiatives and contribute to overall revenue goals
