Job summary

Connect Search, LLC is seeking an experienced IT Recruiter to join our growing Technology practice in Chicago. You will recruit technology professionals across software development, AI/ML, data, cloud, cybersecurity, ERP, project management, and IT leadership.

You'll drive searches from sourcing to placement, collaborating with sales to meet client needs, and building long-term candidate relationships in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Prior staffing and recruiting experience is highly preferred.
• IT or Technology staffing experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience recruiting within one or more areas such as Software Development, AI/ML, Data, Cloud & Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, ERP, or related technology disciplines is preferred.
• Experience sourcing and engaging highly specialized technical candidates.
• Experience interviewing and managing candidates throughout the full recruiting lifecycle.
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively about technical skill sets and complex hiring requirements.
• Strong sourcing, relationship-building, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple searches and priorities simultaneously.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and competitive.
• Someone who takes ownership of their desk and enjoys building long-term candidate relationships.

Responsibilities

• Source, recruit, interview, and place technology professionals across a broad range of technical disciplines and experience levels.
• Recruit across skill sets including Software Development, AI Engineering, Machine Learning, LLM/Generative AI, Data Science, Data Engineering, Cloud & Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, ERP, Project Management, and IT Leadership.
• Build and maintain a strong network of technology professionals, from individual contributors and specialized technical talent through senior leadership.
• Develop an understanding of candidates’ technical backgrounds, career goals, compensation expectations, and motivations.
• Partner with the sales team to understand client technical requirements and develop targeted recruiting strategies.
• Build proactive talent pipelines for current and anticipated technology hiring needs.
• Stay current on evolving technologies, in-demand skill sets, compensation trends, and talent availability.
• Deliver a high-touch, consultative candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.
• Maintain accurate candidate activity and pipeline information within internal systems.

In this role, you’ll recruit technology professionals across a wide range of skill sets, with a growing emphasis on Software Development, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Large Language Models (LLMs), Data, Cloud & Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, ERP, Project Management, and IT Leadership.

You’ll manage searches from initial sourcing and outreach through interviewing, offer negotiation, and placement while developing strong relationships with technology professionals in the market.
