As Recruiter – Manufacturing/Skilled Trades, you’ll partner with hiring managers, manage end-to-end TA, and help open our new San Antonio plant. The role starts onsite, with possible hybrid later, traveling between Brooks and the plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of similar talent acquisition experience in a manufacturing plant and/or in the construction industry.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with, partner with and effectively influence all stakeholders throughout the end-to-end talent acquisition process.
• General knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations.
• Flexible and adaptable team player in start-up mode.
• Excellent written & verbal communication, multi-tasking, organizational and negotiating skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Hiring Managers/Business leaders and HR colleagues to meet business and talent goals.
• Educate on and influence hiring managers to follow TA policies, delivering engaging candidate experiences.
• Set expectations and communicate with stakeholders (hiring managers, leaders, candidates, HR, vendors).
• Identify, attract, and assess front-line production and skilled trades talent for IEM’s San Antonio facilities.
• Maintain excellent service levels to multiple hiring managers and candidates throughout the process.
• Collaborate on onboarding, employee experience, and retention initiatives.
• Pursue continuous improvement and innovation beyond the status quo.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.

Recruiter – Manufacturing/Skilled Trades

As a Recruiter – Manufacturing/Skilled Trades, you will be a vital part of our Talent Acquisition (TA) team, consulting with Hiring Managers/Business Leaders, developing and executing talent strategies, effectively identifying, and engaging with candidates, always keeping an eye on delivering the best experience for stakeholders, and positioning IEM as the employer of choice.

NOTE: This position will be based temporarily in NE San Antonio while our new manufacturing plant is coming online. Our permanent location is approximately 25 minutes away at Brooks, 7515 Inner Circle Dr., San Antonio, 78235, travel between the two locations is likely. The position will start as 100% onsite with opportunity to flex to hybrid work over time as the plant ultimately transitions out of start-up mode.

Essential Functions

• Exceptionally partners with Hiring Managers/Business leaders and HR colleagues, helping to meet overall business and talent goals
• Educates on and effectively influences hiring managers and other key stakeholders to follow talent acquisition policies and practices, helping to ensure consistently engaging candidate experiences
• Consistently sets expectations and regularly communicates with all stakeholders (ex. hiring managers, business leaders, internal and external candidates, HR colleagues, vendors, etc.)
• Identifies, attracts, and assesses front-line production and skilled trades talent for IEM’s manufacturing facilities in San Antonio
• Maintains excellent service levels to multiple hiring managers and candidates – ensures a positive hiring manager and candidate experience throughout the recruiting process
• Collaborates with business leaders and HR colleagues on new hire onboarding, employee experience, and retention
• Is always on the lookout for opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation, not content with just maintaining the status quo
• Ensures compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations

Required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 3 years of similar talent acquisition experience in a manufacturing plant and/or in the construction industry
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with, partner with and effectively influence all stakeholders throughout the end-to-end talent acquisition process
• General knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations
• Flexible and adaptable team player who thrives in a collaborative, often changing environment - you will be in start-up mode and must be willing to help wherever needed - "not my job" is an unacceptable response
• Excellent written & verbal communication, multi-tasking, organizational, follow-up and negotiating skills, with a strong attention to detail

DESIRED

• Experience with Greenhouse and/or comparable ATS/CRM systems
• Intimate knowledge of the San Antonio labor market as it relates to manufacturing and construction
• Bilingual - English / Spanish
