Job summary

J Polep Distribution Services, a division of National Convenience Distributors, is seeking a Recruiter/HR Generalist in Chicopee, MA. This full-time, day-shift role supports our HR team with recruiting and onboarding, reporting to the Director of HR. Candidates should have 2-3 years in recruiting, strong communication, and knowledge of labor laws.

Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Responsibilities include posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and helping new hires settle in.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' recruiting experience, preferably in a light industrial environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess and evaluate candidate qualifications.
• Knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and industry trends.
• Ability to negotiate and close deals with candidates.
• Time-management skills and multitasking ability.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with hiring managers.
• Experience with Paycom platform preferred.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of employee information & data.
• Bilingual, English/Spanish helpful

Responsibilities

• Understand the hiring requirements of hiring managers.
• Attract candidates through various channels like social media, professional networks and job fairs.
• Create and maintain job postings
• Review resumes and screen candidates
• Schedule interviews with candidates
• Onboard new employees
• Troubleshoot and help to resolve employee questions
