Job summary

CHAOS Industries is hiring a 12-month contractRecruiter to build robust pipelines for Operations, Legal, and G&A in a fast-moving defense-focused environment. You will own end-to-end recruiting, partner with stakeholders, and drive candidate experiences from screening to offer.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong collaboration with Hiring Managers, and comfort working in a high-growth, regulated setting. Onsite 3-4 days weekly at our Los Angeles area office in El Segundo.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Recruiting Lead and hiring managers to understand role requirements, team dynamics, and goals.
• Own the full-cycle recruiting process from screening to offer.
• Develop and implement strategies to build talent pipelines using referrals, events, and campaigns.
• Coordinate with Recruiting Coordinators and Operations to ensure smooth workflows.
• Maintain and analyze pipeline metrics and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Understand each team's product, roadmap, and culture to position roles effectively.
• Build expertise in target skills and industry trends to guide recruiting.
• Use data to influence hiring strategies and track progress toward hiring goals.
• Run point on external recruiting agencies for niche roles.
• Deliver an outstanding candidate experience throughout the process.
• Work 3-4 days onsite at our Los Angeles (El Segundo) office.

Role Overview:

This is a 12-month contract position with the potential for extension or full-time conversion based on performance and business needs. This role offers a strong opportunity to gain exposure to a fast-paced, high-growth recruiting environment and make a meaningful impact from day one.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Recruiter to identify and engage exceptional talent for our growing team. As a full-cycle Recruiter, you will partner closely with our Recruiting Lead, hiring managers, and other stakeholders to build robust pipelines of talent aligned with our mission and values. This role requires high ownership, comfort with a wide range of tasks, and enthusiasm for a small, fast-moving environment.

In this role, you will recruit across a variety of business-critical functions, ranging from Operations, Legal, and G&A. You will gain broad exposure to different teams while building deep expertise in hiring for complex technical skill sets. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience recruiting for business operations roles, ideally within defense or other highly regulated technical industries.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with our Recruiting Lead and hiring managers to thoroughly understand the requirements, team dynamics, and organizational goals for each role
• Own the full-cycle recruiting process for candidates from initial screening to offer
• Develop and implement creative strategies to build talent pipelines, leveraging tactical research, referrals, networking events, and sourcing campaigns
• Partner with Recruiting Coordinators, Recruiters and Operations team members to ensure seamless and efficient operational workflows
• Maintain and analyze pipeline metrics, providing regular updates and insights to internal stakeholders
• Deeply understand each team's product, roadmap, and culture to effectively position roles
• Build expertise in critical skills, target companies, and industry trends to guide recruiting strategies and inform hiring decisions
• Utilize data and analytics to influence hiring strategies, ensure data integrity, and track progress toward recruitment goals
• Run point on external recruiting agencies being utilized for niche positions within the org you're supporting
• Deliver an outstanding, proactive candidate experience throughout the process
• Work 3-4 days onsite out of our office in Los Angeles (El Segundo), California

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience
• Proven track record of closing candidates for complex or hard-to-fill positions
• Experience partnering closely with hiring managers and senior stakeholders on role scoping, pipeline strategy, and candidate evaluation
• Ability to manage multiple searches and candidate pipelines simultaneously with strong attention to detail
• Clear and effective communicator with the ability to assess candidate motivations, alignment, and fit
• Data-driven mindset with experience tracking and improving recruiting metrics
• High ownership, adaptability, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Familiarity with ATS systems (Greenhouse preferred), sourcing tools, and structured interview practices

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience recruiting within the defense industry or similarly-regulated technical environments such as aerospace, government, or advanced manufacturing
• Background supporting early-stage or high-growth companies
• Experience with the following tools: Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, Pave, Asana
• Ability to operate independently while maintaining strong collaboration with cross-functional partners
• Resilient and creative problem-solver who can adapt quickly to changing hiring needs
• Strong communication style that is direct, timely, and collaborative
