Job summary

A specialized recruitment firm in Virginia Beach is seeking a TAG Recruiter to manage the recruitment process for military and intelligence sector candidates. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, networking skills, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with at least 3-5 years in recruitment. Responsibilities include managing recruiting efforts, conducting screenings and interviews, and onboarding new hires. Applicants must be able to obtain a US Government SECRET security clearance.

Overview

As a TAG Recruiter, you will aggressively recruit well-qualified candidates from a variety of sources. The TAG Recruiter manages the selection process to include interviewing, assessing candidates, screening, recommending finalists, and filling the staffing needs within the defined service and performance criteria. The TAG Recruiter provides the highest level of customer service while interacting with TAG current and potential employees through first initial contact to the beginning of the onboarding process.

Security Requirement
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government SECRET security clearance is required.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage recruiting efforts for all TAG staffing needs.
  • Post and maintain job descriptions on job boards and circulate within the trusted TAG network.
  • Create job descriptions based on Performance Work Statement requirements/Statement of Work.
  • Assist with staffing efforts for training and exercise proposal efforts. Based on PWS requirements, align compliant personnel with staffing needs.
  • Onboard new employees and Independent Consultants.
  • Monitor Paycor Recruiting system to include actioning all applicants, ensuring all candidates are acknowledged and either down selected or continue the recruitment process.
  • Conduct initial screenings for potential applicants and TAG referrals.
  • Lead the interview process to include scheduling and conducting initial and secondary interviews.
  • Draft and deliver offer letters.
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential applicants and outside organizations and military transition teams (ex. The Honor Foundation).
Qualifications and Skills
  • Positive Attitude. As the Recruiter is often someone’s first point of contact and first impression of The Ascendancy Group, it is imperative that the highest level of customer service is extended – to everyone.
  • Familiarity or willingness to learn Military/IC terminology, included but not limited to qualifications.
  • Networking skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (3-5 years).
