About The Role

The Associate Provider Recruiter plays a vital role in supporting the recruitment of physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) at Akron Children's Hospital. This position involves collaborating closely with Provider Recruiters to manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from developing job opportunities to onboarding new providers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating compelling job postings, sourcing qualified candidates through various channels, and maintaining accurate applicant data within the applicant tracking system (ATS). The role also includes coordinating interviews, supporting relocation and pre-boarding activities, and ensuring a seamless candidate experience. By contributing to the hospital's provider recruitment strategy, the Associate Provider Recruiter helps ensure the organization attracts top talent to deliver high-quality pediatric care.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a minimum of three years of healthcare recruitment experience, with a preference for those with provider recruitment expertise. A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience of at least eight years is required. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, CRM platforms, and recruitment metrics analysis is essential. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, and a proactive approach to sourcing and candidate engagement. Additionally, proficiency in generating recruitment reports, analyzing data to measure effectiveness, and understanding the ROI of sourcing efforts is highly valued. A certification from the American Academy of Provider Recruitment and Placement (AAPPR) is required within the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

The Associate Provider Recruiter will be responsible for supporting the full-cycle recruitment process, including developing targeted recruitment strategies in collaboration with hiring managers and department leaders. They will create and publish engaging job postings on various platforms, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in the market. The role involves proactively sourcing candidates through multiple channels such as job boards, social media, networking events, residency programs, conferences, and referral networks to build a robust pipeline of qualified providers.

Maintaining detailed and accurate candidate records within the ATS and CRM is crucial for tracking progress and ensuring compliance. The Associate Provider Recruiter will assist with scheduling and coordinating interviews, greeting candidates, and managing logistics to facilitate a positive interview experience. They will also provide support during the candidate's onboarding process, including documentation, background checks, and communication to ensure a smooth transition from offer acceptance to employment start date.

Additional responsibilities include supporting recruitment operations by tracking activity metrics, preparing reports, managing calendars, and updating recruitment dashboards. The role requires close collaboration with recruiters, department coordinators, hiring managers, and external partners to ensure alignment and efficient execution of recruitment initiatives. The Associate Provider Recruiter may also serve as a backup to senior recruiters, assisting with off-site meetings, conferences, and candidate logistics as needed.
