Job summary

Interstate AC is seeking a skilled recruiter to develop and implement strategic recruitment plans tailored to the commercial HVAC and plumbing sectors.

You will source candidates, screen and interview, manage ATS, negotiate offers, and stay current on industry trends and labor laws. This role requires collaboration with hiring managers and a proactive, results-driven approach.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a recruiter in the commercial construction HVAC or plumbing industry.
  • Deep understanding of specialized roles (e.g., Project Managers, Site Superintendents, Estimators, Technicians) and the required technical skills.
  • Familiarity with HR databases and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving abilities, with ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, take initiative, and operate with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and online recruiting platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed).

  • Familiarity with HR databases and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving abilities, with an aptitude for working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education
  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
