Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Recruiter to source, attract, and schedule competitive hourly candidates for our manufacturing plants across multiple locations, including Cambridge, OH; Statesville, NC; Houston, TX; and Mounds View, MN. You’ll collaborate with hiring managers and HR partners to meet staffing needs and execute effective recruitment strategies.

You will manage high-volume recruitment, build robust candidate pipelines, and keep applicants informed about progress and next steps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
• Minimum 2 years experience as a recruiter, particularly in manufacturing or related industries.
• Familiarity with recruiting techniques and tools, including ATS and social media platforms.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with hiring managers and candidates.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple candidates and tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.

Responsibilities

• Understand staffing requirements with hiring managers and HR partners to tailor recruitment strategies.
• Drive high-volume recruitment for hourly manufacturing, production, and operational roles across Quanex plants and facilities.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines through proactive sourcing, networking, referrals, and candidate relationship management.
• Keep candidates informed about application status, interviews, and next steps.
• Regularly update HR and hiring managers on recruitment progress, challenges, and strategy adjustments.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to improve recruitment processes.

Quanex is looking for a Recruiter to join our team located in any one of the following locations: Cambridge, OH, Statesville, NC, Houston, TX or Mounds View, MN.

As a Recruiter, you will play a crucial role in sourcing, attracting, and scheduling competitive hourly candidates for Quanex’s manufacturing plants and locations. You will collaborate with hiring managers, HR professionals, and other stakeholders to identify staffing needs and execute recruitment strategies that ensure a steady pipeline of skilled and motivated candidates.

What Success Looks Like

• Work closely with hiring managers and Human Resources to understand their staffing requirements and develop recruitment strategies tailored to their needs.
• Drive high-volume recruitment efforts for hourly manufacturing, production, and operational positions across Quanex plants and facilities.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for hourly roles through proactive sourcing, networking, referrals, and candidate relationship management.
• Keep candidates engaged and informed about their application status, interview outcomes, and next steps.
• Regularly communicate with HR and hiring managers and provide updates on recruitment progress, challenges, and adjustments to the strategy.
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and changes that may impact talent acquisition in the manufacturing sector.
• Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset by leveraging data, insights, and innovative approaches to enhance recruitment processes, attract high-quality talent, and scale successful hiring strategies.
• Manage multiple requisitions and priorities with strong organization, timely communication, and consistent follow-through.

Your Credentials

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 with the potential to earn an annual bonus. The salary range will vary based on the geographical location of the position.
