Job summary

M-D Building Products is seeking a Recruiter to lead full-cycle recruitment for corporate and hourly roles, building a strong pipeline and ensuring timely hires across the organization.

The ideal candidate will source via job boards, social media, referrals and networking events, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and partner with HR to onboard new hires while maintaining compliance with employment laws.

  • Build and maintain a pipeline for current and future openings, especially high-volume hourly roles.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and create effective strategies.
  • Ensure recruitment activities comply with laws and maintain documentation.
  • Support onboarding with HR for smooth new-hire integration.
  • Promote the company brand at events and career fairs.
  • Track metrics like time-to-fill and cost-per-hire to improve processes.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices and propose improvements.

Job description

The Recruiter is responsible for full-cycle recruitment for both corporate and hourly positions. This role requires a strong ability to source, screen, and hire qualified candidates across a wide range of positions, ensuring that the company attracts top talent to meet its business objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience in both corporate and hourly recruitment, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and engaging candidates.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for corporate and hourly roles, including job postings, sourcing, interviewing, and extending offers.
  • Utilize various channels (job boards, social media, employee referrals, networking events) to source and attract a diverse pool of candidates for corporate and hourly positions.
  • Conducted initial screenings and coordinated interviews with hiring managers. Assess candidates' qualifications, cultural fit, and alignment with company values.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings, particularly for high-volume hourly roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and create effective recruitment strategies.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with local, state, and federal employment laws. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all candidate interactions.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires, particularly in hourly roles where quick integration is essential.
  • Assist in promoting the company’s brand and culture to attract top talent. Participate in career fairs, networking events, and other outreach activities.
  • Track and analyze recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source of hire) to continually improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the recruitment process.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and recruitment best practices, and proactively recommend new strategies to attract top talent.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment, with experience in both corporate and hourly roles.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, including sourcing techniques, candidate assessment, and employer branding.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience recruiting within the manufacturing industry.
  • Certification in HR or recruitment (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, AIRS Certified Recruiter).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
