Job summary

zTrip is seeking a driven Recruiter to attract, hire, onboard, and support professional drivers in our communities. You will build a strong candidate pipeline, screen applicants, and guide them through the hiring process with a focus on a positive candidate experience.

You will engage with job fairs and local events, coordinate onboarding, and work cross-functionally with operations to ensure driver success and retention.

Qualifications

What You'll Do as a Recruiter:

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment

• Source, attract, and engage qualified driver candidates through job boards, social media platforms, referrals, networking, community outreach, and recruiting events.
• Develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of driver candidates.
• Represent zTrip at job fairs, hiring events, career expos, and community functions.
• Conduct applicant screenings and interviews.
• Guide candidates through every stage of the hiring process.
• Partner with management to identify staffing needs and recruitment priorities.
• Develop creative recruiting campaigns to attract qualified drivers.
• Promote zTrip as an employer of choice within the local market.

Onboarding & New Hire Success

• Coordinate and facilitate onboarding activities for new drivers.
• Assist candidates with employment paperwork, licensing requirements, and onboarding documentation.
• Ensure new hires receive the tools, resources, training, and support necessary to succeed.
• Serve as a primary point of contact throughout the onboarding process.
• Educate new drivers on company expectations, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Help create a smooth transition from candidate to active driver.

Driver Engagement & Retention

• Build positive relationships with drivers throughout their employment journey.
• Conduct regular follow-up conversations with new and existing drivers.
• Identify challenges impacting driver satisfaction and success.
• Partner with Operations to improve driver engagement and retention efforts.
• Support coaching initiatives focused on professionalism, customer service, and performance improvement.
• Assist with recognition programs and engagement activities that encourage long-term retention.
• Act as an advocate for drivers by connecting them with available resources and support.

Reporting & Administrative Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate recruiting, onboarding, and retention records.
• Track hiring activity, candidate flow, and recruitment performance metrics.
• Monitor retention trends and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Generate reports and updates for leadership teams.
• Assist with process improvements designed to enhance recruiting efficiency and driver experience.

Qualifications of a Recruiter:

Preferred Experience

• Recruiting, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Staffing, Employee Relations, Operations, Customer Service, Sales, or Workforce Development experience.
• Experience conducting interviews and managing candidate pipelines.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and initiative.
