Job summary

Celebrate the Children School in Morris County, New Jersey, is seeking an experienced Short-Term Recruiter to manage full-cycle recruitment across the organization. The school serves students with autism and other developmental and learning differences, and we value an approach that aligns with our developmental, relationship-based education.

The role requires proactive sourcing, strong interviewing and networking, and proficiency with HRIS/ATS and ADP.

Qualifications

• Minimum recruiting experience required; education or special education recruiting experience preferred.
• Ability to actively source candidates and build applicant pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for certificated and non-certificated positions.
• Proactively source candidates and build strong applicant pipelines for current and future staffing needs.
• Screen resumes, interview candidates, conduct reference checks, and coordinate the hiring process with HR and school leadership.
• Recruit through job boards, social media, colleges and universities, professional organizations, referrals, and other creative sources.
• Network off-site by attending job fairs, recruiting events, college programs, community events, and other opportunities to build relationships and expand candidate networks.
• Evaluate candidates for qualifications and alignment with the school’s approach, philosophy, and culture.
• Maintain accurate candidate information and recruiting activity within the HRIS/ATS.

SHORT-TERM RECRUITER – FULL TIME

Celebrate the Children School is pleased to announce an immediate opening for an experienced Short-Term Recruiter to manage recruitment across the organization.

Celebrate the Children is a well-established, New Jersey state-approved private special education school serving students with autism and other developmental and learning differences.

Our school utilizes a developmental, individualized, and relationship-based approach to education. Our philosophy emphasizes understanding each student’s individual differences, strengths, relationships, communication, and overall development. Finding employees who understand, embrace, and connect with our approach is an important part of this role.

We’re looking for a recruiter who knows how to find great people—not just wait for them to apply.

Requirements for Short-Term Recruiter Include

• Previous recruiting experience required; education or special education recruiting experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to actively source candidates and build applicant pipelines.
• Strong interviewing, networking, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong technology skills, including experience with HRIS/ATS platforms, online recruiting tools, social media, and other technology used to identify and engage candidates.
• ADP experience strongly preferred.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and able to manage multiple searches simultaneously.
• Creative, resourceful, and willing to think outside the box when traditional recruiting methods aren’t producing results.
• Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to understand and authentically communicate the school’s mission, approach, and philosophy to prospective candidates.

We need someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership, get out and network, build relationships, and find the right people for our school—not simply fill open positions.

Competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Location: Morris County, New Jersey

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

A salary range is provided in accordance with New Jersey pay transparency laws. Final salary is determined using a structured salary grid, taking into account years of relevant experience and educational qualifications, and is subject to the maximum limits established by the New Jersey Department of Education and the discretion of the Board of Directors. This assignment is anticipated to approximately 3 months with the possibility of extension based on organizational need.
