We’re looking for a Recruiter to join our team and help us find compassionate, dedicated team members to serve our community. If you’re organized, motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to meet you!

This is a full-time, 100% on-site position, M-F 9am-5pm, $23 per hour, with full benefits, and opportunity for growth within the organization!

What You’ll Do:

Under direction of the Recruitment Manager:

  • Review applications daily in our applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Select qualified candidates and forward them to hiring managers.
  • Disqualify applicants who do not meet job requirements.
  • Coordinate candidate submissions with hiring managers across divisions, ensuring timely follow-ups and communication.
  • Attend job fairs, hiring events, and expos to represent MHA.
  • Speak with job seekers about open roles, organizational culture, and our benefits.
  • Manage multiple open positions and deadlines efficiently.
  • Assist with job postings and recruitment advertising as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and candidate progress within the ATS.
  • Collaborate with the Recruitment Manager to identify and implement new recruitment strategies and process improvements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1-2 years of recruitment, talent acquisition, or related experience preferred (non-profit or human services sector a plus).
  • Someone organized, dependable, and skilled at multitasking.
  • Comfortable discussing compensation and highlighting the value of work environment, benefits, and growth opportunities.
  • Able to work independently while taking direction and feedback.
  • Friendly, approachable, and aligned with our core values: respect, integrity, and compassion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for hiring events.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license & reliable transportation to bring to/from work and to attend occasional hiring events.
  • Must have 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Must have proficient computer skills, and be well-versed with Outlook, Microsoft, and ATS systems.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Must be comfortable communicating over the phone and in-person with candidates
