Arizona State University’s School of Community Resources and Development invites applications for part-time Faculty Associate and Academic Associate positions for the 2026-2027 academic year. Courses may be taught in person on the Downtown Phoenix or Tempe campus or online.

These are fixed-term, non-benefits eligible appointments with no tenure; salary based on qualifications and teaching load. Ideal candidates will have a master’s degree and 3+ years of related experience, with a demonstrated

Qualifications

Earned master’s degree in parks, recreation, sport management, recreational therapy or related field by appointment time.
Three years of related experience (teaching or training adults).
Commitment to inclusion as part of ASU’s Charter.
Experience with Canvas or other LMS for online/hybrid teaching.

Responsibilities

Teach courses as assigned.
Deliver engaging in-person and/or online lectures and discussions.
Create assignments and exams for courses.
Evaluate and grade student work per rubrics.
Manage Canvas and hold office hours to assist students.
Comfort with technology and evidence of successful teaching in higher education.
