Job summary

Arizona State University’s School of Community Resources and Development invites applications for Faculty Associate and Academic Associate positions for the 2026-2027 academic year. Faculty Associates and Academic Associates are part-time appointments hired on one-semester, renewable contracts to teach one or two courses (not to exceed 0.40 FTE) per semester, either in person or online.

These fixed-term, non-benefits-eligible appointments have salary based on qualifications and assigned teaching

Qualifications

• Earned master’s degree in tourism, hospitality, event management, parks, recreation, sport management or related field.
• Experience teaching or delivering training/workshops to adult learners is preferred.
• Commitment to inclusion consistent with ASU’s Charter.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned.
• Deliver engaging in-person lectures, discussions, and content.
• Contribute to creation of assignments and exams.
• Evaluate and grade student work using rubrics.
• Manage Canvas and hold office hours to assist students.
• Be comfortable with technology and engaging in higher education teaching.
