Job summary

Pleasant View Communities is seeking a Healthcare Activities Assistant to lead recreational activities for residents in a 34-bed long-term care unit. You will plan and implement programs, monitor attendance and preferences, and maintain clinical paperwork such as care plans and progress notes.

Qualified candidates may have a college degree or related certification and experience with dementia care. Excellent interpersonal skills, dignity, respect, and safety are essential for this role, which

• Dementia care experience is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with awareness for dignity, respect, compassion and safety.

• Implementation of recreational programs.

• Calendar creation/prep and implementation of structured activities for a 34 bed LTC unit.
• Assist with supervision, training, and overseeing activity staff.
