Banner Behavioral Health Hospital in Scottsdale, AZ seeks a Recreational Therapist to provide therapeutic groups for patients across seven treatment units. You will work with nurses, specialists and physicians to deliver engaging, evidence-based activities that support recovery and daily living skills.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation or human services and licensure as required by the state. Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation or Human Services is required.
• Licensure as required by state of practice.
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at time of hire (and maintenance).
• Colorado Fingerprint Clearance Card for Banner McKee unit when applicable.

Aufgaben

• Screen and evaluate patients' leisure abilities to determine intervention.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for leisure activities.
• Educate patients and families to promote participation and goals.
• Document patient participation and progress per professional standards.
• Participate in program development of recreational therapy services.
• Coordinate with treatment team to ensure optimal patient care.
