We provide treatment for traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, and other neuro or complex ortho diagnoses in the most functional setting there is - a person's own home and community. We are looking for experienced Therapeutic Recreation Specialists who want to provide truly patient-centered care in San Antonio, TX and surrounding areas - with PRN positions that accept patients for the duration of their stay available.

Our interdisciplinary teams create integrated treatment plans that are practiced in patient's homes and communities. Our therapists are creative in their approach and incorporate a variety of activities to ignite interest while addressing functional goals. This evidence-based approach results in durable outcomes.

Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

• Evaluation, treatment, and education of neuro-rehab patients including planning, organizing, and coordination of recreation activities, functional leisure skills, and leisure education
• Assess capabilities/interests/barriers
• Monitor progress and recommend changes/modifications to the program as required
• Perform home assessments and assist the patients with the transition to home and community

Qualifications:

• Completion of Bachelor's in Therapeutic Recreation and CTRS designation is required
• Experience in the treatment of neurologically related disorders is strongly preferred
• Excellent planning, organization, writing and time management skills are required
• Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers is a must
