Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college with emphasis on courses in recreation therapy or recreation.
• Some work experience required.

Special Skills & Abilities

• Should be able to drive a van for transport of disabled patients.
• Involves treatment of patients who may be physically disabled, mentally or emotionally disturbed.
• Demonstrates competency as appropriate to the ages of patients served, in the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patient's needs; a knowledge of growth and development; and an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients.

Licensure

Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist required.May require valid driver's license and a driving record that meets insurance carrier requirements

Pay Range

USD $32.96 - USD $47.12 /Hr.
