Job summary

Benchmark Human Services currently seeks a Recreational Therapist for our Indianapolis Day Program to support clients in community-based recreation goals. The role focuses on implementing recreation therapy strategies, documenting progress, and ensuring safety and compliance with relevant regulations.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field, CTRS credential, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain billable criteria.
• Provide education to caregivers.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Comply with standards to assure health and safety of clients.
• Report any suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation to supervisor or department head.
• Implement community based, age appropriate, recreational activities.
• Complete documentation as required by state and federal regulations.
• Collect data to document progress of prioritized objectives for each client.
• Develop and implement recreation therapy strategies based on target objectives and goals.
• Participate in Individual Support Plan or Person-Centered Plan for client served.
• Attend departmental meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
