Job summary

Benchmark Human Services is seeking a licensed Recreational Therapist to join the Connersville Day Program. You will develop and implement recreation therapy activities, document progress, and collaborate with families and staff to support client goals.

Required CTRS credential, CPR/First Aid certification, and a valid driver’s license with auto insurance. You will participate in individual and group activities and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field.
• CTRS credential is required.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance are required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain billable criteria.
• Provide education to caregivers.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Comply with all standards to assure health and safety of clients.
• Report suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation to supervisor.
• Implement community-based, age appropriate recreational activities.
• Complete documentation as required by state and federal regulations.
• Collect data to document progress of prioritized objectives for each client.
• Develop and implement recreation therapy strategies based on target objectives and goals.
• Attend departmental meetings.

Benchmark is currently seeking a Recreational Therapist for our Connersville Day Program.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain billable criteria.

• Complies with and implements all protocols for individuals including but not limited to high-risk plans, dining plans, seizure management plans, positioning schedules, etc.
• Participate in Individual Support Plan or Person-Centered Plan for client served.
• Attend departmental meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) credentialed.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
