Job summary

Benchmark Human Services seeks a qualified Recreational Therapist to provide therapeutic interventions in facility, community or home-based settings for individuals served. The role focuses on improving independence, community inclusion, and quality of life.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field, CTRS certification, and a valid driver's license. Compensation includes new increased rates: $44-46/hr for full-time with benefits and $52-54/hr for

• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field is required.
• CTRS Certification is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain billable criteria.
• Provide education to caregivers.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of clients we serve.
• Must report any suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation to supervisor or department head.
• Implement community based, age appropriate, recreational activities.
• Completes documentation as required by state and federal regulations.
• Collect data to document progress of prioritized objectives for each client.
• Develop and implement recreation therapy strategies based on target objectives and goals.
• Complies with and implements all protocols for individuals including but not limited to: high risk plans, dining plans, seizure management plans, positioning schedules, etc.
• Participate in Individual Support Plan or Person-Centered Plan for client served.
• Attend departmental meetings.
• Reasonable suspicion of a crime against an ICF/MR resident must be reported to Indiana State Department of Health and Law Enforcement (Elder Justice Act).
• Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all individuals.

New Increased Rates!
